The start of 2023 does not look good for motor-racing fans. After the heartbreaking news of American off-road racer Robert Pierce’s demise, another tragic news has left motor-racing fans with heavy hearts.

Recently, Rodney Childers shared the news about the passing away of Rick Townsend on his official Twitter account. Saddened by the demise of Townsend, motorsports enthusiasts and Dale Earnhardt Jr expressed their remorse.

Ken Block loses his life in a snowmobile accident

Famous for his ‘Gymkhana’ video series on YouTube, American Rally racer and YouTuber Ken Block lost his life in a snowmobile accident. According to the information shared by BBC, Block’s snowmobile landed on top of him while he was trying to drive through a steep slope in Wasatch County, Utah.

As per the statements of the local sheriff’s office, Block was alone when the incident occurred and was declared dead on the spot. Block’s clothing company Hoonigan Industries confirmed the news of Ken Block’s death on Instagram. They wrote “Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed.”
